BEACHES AND NATURE

Playa El Verraco or Playa Buey Cabón, are only two of several beaches in a range from 15 to about 40 km far from Santiago, mainly in their natural state.

An example of the great biodiversity of the island is the National Park of Sierra Maestra with heavily wooded mountains that rise sharply from the Caribbean coast culminating in Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest peak
(1'950 meters above sea level).
